Oldenburg Breed Inspection at Rocking Basilisk Farm
LAM Dressage recently had the pleasure of participating in the Oldenburg breed inspection hosted by Rocking Basilisk Farm in Aiken, South Carolina. It was a wonderful opportunity to help present a talented group of mares and foals, showcasing the next generation of equine athletes.
An Oldenburg breed inspection evaluates horses for their conformation, movement, and overall quality. Foals have the opportunity to showcase their early development, movement, and potential as future sport horses. Mares are evaluated for their quality and suitability as breeding stock. These inspections help identify promising horses, and recognize quality bloodlines.
While much of our work focuses on developing horses under saddle, good horsemanship begins long before the first ride. From early handling and groundwork to building confidence and trust, these foundational experiences play an important role in a young horse’s future.
A special thank you to Jasmine and Rocking Basilisk Farm for the opportunity to be part of such a great day!
